range from mistakes in

in

Wherever they
occu
r

need

found
and
corrected
,
and
the
HP-33E
is designed to
make thi
s
error-checking
process
as easy as
poss
ible
.
Finding the Error
One of the
eas
iest
ways
to find out
if your
program is working properly
is
to
work a
test
case
in which
you either
know the answer
or
the
answer
can
be
eas
il
y
detennined. For example.
if
you have
a program
that
calculates
the
area of a
c ircle
using
the formula Area
=
rr
X
r2
.
you can
easily determine that an input
va lue of

for
r
will
give an answer
of
1T.
!SST! Execution.
In
longer
programs
a wrong test-case answer will
se ldom
pinpoint the mi
stake.
For these
cases,
you
can
slow
down
the program execution by using the
ISST!
key
in RUN
mode.
In RUN
mode.
the

execute
your
program
in

one at a
time.
When you hold
the

key down in
RUN
mode

the
program
line
number and keycode are displayed

release the
