IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ BEFORE USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER
DANGER: means if the safety information is not followed someone will be seriously injured or killed.
WARNING: means if the safety information is not followed someone could be seriously injured or killed.
CAUTION: means if the safety information is not followed someone may be injured.
1. To reduce the risk of fi re or shock hazard, this humidifi er has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). Plug humidifi er directly into a 120V, A.C. electrical outlet. Do not use extension
cords. If the plug does not fully fi t
2. into the outlet, reverse plug. If it still does not fi t, contact a qualifi ed electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
3. Keep the electric cord out of traffi c areas. To reduce the risk of fi re hazard, never put the electric
cord under rugs, near heat registers, radiators, stoves or heaters.
4. Keep the humidifi er clean. To reduce the risk of injury, fi re or damage to humidifi er, use only clean-
ers specifi cally recommended for humidifi ers. Never use fl ammable, combustible or poisonous
materials to clean your humidifi er
5. Do not place metals, chemicals or detergents into the water tank.
6. To reduce the risk of electrical hazard or damage to humidifi er, do not tilt, jolt or tip or carry
humidifi er while unit is running.
7. Under no circumstances should you touch the oscillator upon starting. It will cause you pain.
8. Do not put foreign objects inside the humidifi er.
9. Do not allow unit to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
10. To reduce the risk of accidental electrical shock, do not touch the cord or controls with wet hands.
11. To reduce the risk of fi re, do not use near an open fl ame such as a candle or other fl ame source.
12. Only add clean, cool water to water tank. Do not add aroma oil or medication to water tank. Do not
add water directly to the water basin (bottom section). Do not allow water to pour or splash onto
base to avoid damage to internal parts.
13. Do not operate unit in a room with temperatures below freezing.
14. Do not operate unit with an empty water tank.
15. If the unit emits an abnormal sound or odor shut it down and unplug it immediately.
WARNING: For your own safety, do not use humidifi er if any parts are damaged or missing.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fi re or shock hazard, do not pour or spill liquid into control or motor rea.
If controls get wet, let them dry completely.
