FRONT FORK
3. Inspect:
S Damper rod
Wear/Damage ! Replace.
Contamination ! Blow out all oil passages
with compressed air.
4. Inspect:
S Oil lock piece
S O-ring (cap bolt)
Wear/Damage ! Replace.

ASSEMBLY

Reverse the "DISASSEMBLY" procedure.
Note the following points.
NOTE:
S In front fork reassembly, be sure to use follow-
ing new parts.
* Piston metal
* Slide metal
* Oil seal
* Dust seal
S Make sure that al components are clean be-
fore reassembly.
1. Install:
S Damper rod
CAUTION:
Allow the damper rod to slide slowly down
the inner fork tube until it protrudes from the
bottom, being careful not to damage the in-
ner fork tube.
