Retain this booklet for future reference and use. The purpose of the RIM Automotive Charger is to enable you to recharge your BlackBerry Wireless Handheld in a vehicle. YOUR HANDHELD WHILE OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE. - Page 4 Safety information charger to your handheld only when your vehicle is stationary. Place the automotive charger in a secure and stable spot and route the cable in a way that reduces the risk of injury to others (including injury due to entangling or choking).

Charging the handheld Charging the handheld Note: Your vehicle must be turned on for the automotive charger to charge your handheld. 1. Insert the USB connector at the end of the automotive charger cable into the USB port of your handheld. Connecting the handheld to the automotive charger 2. - Page 8 3. Let the handheld charge to full battery power. When the handheld is charging, the battery power indicator changes to a charging indicator. Your automotive charger can be used with most 12 to 24 V DC power outlets found in cars, trucks and other motor vehicles.
