completed all cable routing.
Applying Power to the System
Instruction
1 Make sure the loopback cable is connected on the rear panel of the
Vertex instrument.
2 Connect the AC power cords to all instruments.
3 Plug the AC power cords into the wall outlet.
Plug the Vertex instrument directly into the wall outlet on an individual
4
branch circuit.
5 Switch on the Vertex instrument.
6 Switch on XD5-A.
7 Switch on XD5-B.
8 Ensure each instrument powers up properly.
NOTE:
If only one XD5 is in use, it must be configured as an XD5‐A
unit. If two XD5s are in use by one Vertex, those units must be
configured as XD5‐A and XD5‐B respectively.
Connecting two XD5s of similar name type assignment to a
single Vertex will cause IP conflict problems. To reconfigure
the XD5's type, you must use the Vertex GUI. See the Vertex
user manual for more information.
Information subject to change.
