Sanitizing a Scotsman SCC50 and CU50
1.
Open the door then press and hold the on/off button for three seconds until the
green ice making light goes out..
2.
Remove and discard ice from the storage bin.
3.
Press and hold both the Clean/Reset and On/Off buttons for 5 Seconds until the
yellow time to clean light starts to blink.
4.
Prepare a sanitizing solution using 1 ounce of household bleach and
two gallons of hot water.

Pour the solution into the water reservoir until full. The water reservoir can be
located by simply lifting the plastic curtain flaps.
6.
The machine will then recirculate the sanitizing solution throughout the ice
making system. Let the machine run for at least 30 minutes.
7.
Press and release the On/Off button to begin the rinse cycle. Let the machine run
for at least 30 minutes.
8.
Press and release the on/off button.
9.
Use the remaining sanitizing solution to thoroughly wash and rinse the following
ice machine components: interior bin assembly, water reservoir, curtain, ice
scoop, ice scoop holder, and door assembly including gasket and handle. The
door gasket can be gently stretched to ensure all crevices are wiped down. Extra
attention should be given to all surfaces that human contact is made.
10.
Turn the machine back on by pressing and releasing the on/off button. The green
ice making light should illuminate.
