Operation

6.1

Transportation

!
Transport BEA 750 in an upright position only. If the
BEA 750 is tilted during transportation, condensate
may escape and damage the measurement chamber.
6.2

Voltage supply

Voltage is supplied via the power supply cable.

If the BEA 750 is operated outdoors, it is advisable
to use a voltage source protected by a ground fault
interrupter (GFI). The unit is only to be operated in
dry conditions.

To avoid the formation of condensed water, allow
the BEA 750 to adjust to ambient temperature
before switching on the BEA 750!

The details of the power supply for the BEA 750 are
displayed on a sticker on the rear of the unit.
6.3

Switching on the BEA 750

1. Switch on the BEA 750 at the back of the unit (fig. 2,
item 10).
2. Switch on the BEA 750 via the power key on the
front of the unit (fig. 1, item 9).
 LED (fig. 1, item 7) lit (green).
 The BEA PC software is started.
6.4

Switching off BEA 750

To keep contamination of the BEA 750 to a minimum,
it is advisable to flush residual gas out of the BEA 750
with the pump running prior to switching off. The
exhaust gas sampling probe must be in the open air for
this purpose.

First, exit from the exhaust gas test step and wait
for completion of pump run-on. Only then, switch off
the BEA 750.
Switch off the BEA 750 via the power key on the
front of the unit (fig. 1, item 9).

The LED on the BEA 750 is not lit up.

Program description

All information regarding operation of the "BEA-PC"
software is available in the Online Help. The Online
Help can be opened in the software by pressing <F1>.

Print

You can print using the built-in thermal printer, a
local printer (via USB) or a network printer (see the
sec. "Selecting the external network printer") via
LAN or WLAN. Additional information on printing can
be found in the online Help.
6.8

Troubleshooting

i
In case of Bluetooth transmission problems during
an emissions test, refer to the information given in
sec. 3.3.
No communication between BEA 750 and BEA 070
Possible causes
What to do
No voltage supply.
Test whether the BEA 070 is being
supplied with voltage.
BEA 070 not active
Check the connection type in the device
or incorrectly
