OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Assembling Your Vacuum Cleaner
Warning: Do not plug in
vacuum unit until it is fully
assembled.
1.
Carefully unpack all
components, set aside
packaging.
2.
Lift vacuum body to
upright position.
3.
Remove the screws
(2) that are already
attached to the body.
4.
From the rear of the
vacuum, align the
handle with groove and
slide onto vacuum.
If necessary, use thumb
and finger pressure to
slide handle into position.
5.
Once handle is in place, attach the
handle with the screws (2).
Operation
The lightweight upright vacuum can
be used on multiple types of
carpeting, bare floors or upholstery
with attachments. When using the
attachment tools such as the crevice
nozzle or the dusting brush, place
the handle in the upright position.
1. Adjust the motorized power head for
the correct carpet height from low to
high.
2. Plug power cord into electrical outlet.
3. Step on the handle release button to
release the handle. (See illustration
below.)
4. Press the On/Off button to the On
position.
5. You are now ready to vacuum.
How to Adjust for Carpet Height
WARNING: To avoid injury,
keep loose clothing, hair,
fingers and all other parts of body
away from any moving part (such as
the beater brush). Turn off the
switch and unplug the vacuum
before adjusting the vacuum for the
carpet height.
The front of the vacuum cleaner has a
carpet adjustment knob that raises and
lowers the motorized power head to
match the type of carpet. With the
vacuum NOT connected to the electrical
outlet, set the adjustment to the lowest
setting for maximum cleaning. If the
vacuum is to difficult to push, move the
knob to the next highest setting until the
vacuum is comfortable to push. The
beater brush must reach the carpet for
effective cleaning.
To use the vacuum on bare floors, set
the carpet height adjustment knob to the
lowest setting.
Using the Vacuum with the
Attachments
1. Place vacuum in its upright position.
2. Make sure that the vacuum cleaner
is NOT plugged into the electrical
outlet.
3. Turn the carpet adjustment knob to
the high pile position.
4. Pull the hose connector from the
rear of the vacuum and push the
desired attachment firmly onto the
end of the hose.
5. If additional length is required,
attach one or both of the extension
tube to the end of the hose and then
attach the crevice nozzle or dusting
brush to the end of the extension
tube.

: Débranchez
toujours l'appareil de l'alimentation
électrique avant l'entretien ou le
nettoyage. Sans quoi, vous pourriez
subir un choc électrique ou une blessure
si l'aspirateur démarrait sans prévenir.
1. Éteignez l'appareil et débranchez-le.
2. À l'aide d'un tournevis Phillips
numéro 2, retirez les deux vis de la
lentille du phare. (Fig. 12)
3. Retirez la lentille.
4. Retirez les ampoules en les tirant
doucement.
5. Replacez les nouvelles ampoules en
les poussant vers l'intérieur.
6. Replacez la lentille et les deux vis
afin de la verrouiller en position.
Remarque:
Remplacez toujours les
ampoules par des ampoules de
puissance égale ou inférieure (12 V 4
W) afin d'éviter d'endommager les
composants à proximité.

Thermostat du moteur
Important: Cet appareil est doté d'un
thermostat de protection du moteur. Si,
pour quelque raison, l'aspirateur vient à
surchauffer, le thermostat s'éteindra
automatiquement. Si cela se produit:
• Appuyez une fois sur le bouton de
marche/arrêt.
• Débranchez la fiche de la prise
murale.
• Vérifiez la source du problème de
surchauffe (p. ex. boyau ou filtre
obstrué).
• Si le boyau ou le filtre est obstrué,
retirez ce qui l'obstrue et remplacez
les filtres.
• Patientez au moins 45 minutes avant
de tenter d'utiliser l'aspirateur de
nouveau.
• Une fois que l'aspirateur a refroidi
pendant 45 minutes, branchez-le et
appuyez sur le commutateur
marche/arrêt. L'aspirateur devrait
alors se remettre en marche.
• Si l'aspirateur ne démarre pas,
communiquez avec le service à la
clientèle au 1 (800) 798-7398.
