3.0 Installation
1. Install the CO
sensor in an extract air duct.
2
In order to ensure faultless functionality, make sure that the cover is properly fastened and
the cable gland firmly surrounds the cable.
2. Position the CO
sensor in the air flow direction of the ventilation duct pursuant to the
2
markings on the cover.
The air flow direction must be in the direction of one of the arrows on the sensor cover.
3.1 Electrical connection
The AIR1 unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all mainte-
nance and installation work and opening the terminal compartment! The electrical
connections must be carried out in accordance with the wiring diagrams and must only
be carried out by qualified electricians. The electrical connection must be fully isolated
until the final assembly!
Establish the electrical connections between the CO
AIR1 ventilation unit (see installation and operating instructions of the corresponding AIR1
ventilation unit).
The maximum cable length between the sensor and the terminal box is 50 m.
Recommended cable type: Shielded 2-core cable with a cross section of 0.5 mm² per
strand. The shield must be connected to GND in the switch box of the AIR1 ventilation unit.
After installing the CO2 duct sensor, it must be configured in the AIR1 unit commissioning
assistant. In this respect, please observe the corresponding chapter in the installation and
operating instructions for the AIR1 unit.
