    SOFTWARE INSTALLATION This section will lead you to install the driver and utility of the TEW-424UB on your Apple computer with Mac OS X 10.4/10.5. Before insert the TEW-424UB into USB port of your computer, please install the Utility Program first. Make sure that the TEW-424UB is NOT inserted into the USB slot.
  • Page 3 Mac OS X. 4. Browse the disk of TEW-424UB_MAC_OS_X.dmg then go to the MacOS10.4 or MacOS10.5 folder which Mac OS X version installed on your Apple computer. 5. Double click on the install.pkg to start the installation of the TEW-424UB driver/utility.

  • Page 5 9. Click “Agree” button. 10. Click “Install” button. 11. Input your password then click “OK” button. 12. The computer will restart when the installation is done, click “Continue Installation” start the software installation.
  • Page 6 13. When install successes, click “Restart” to reboot your computer. 14. Insert the TEW-424UB on your Mac after it’s rebooted, you will found the “WLAN Client Utility” icon in the Dock menu. Click on the icon start the TEW-424UB configuration.

  • Page 9 Profiles The user can create and manage the created profiles for home, work or public areas. Add: Adds a profile. The following screen will appear. The user can enter the necessary information required for accessing Access Points or Wireless Router. Edit: View and edit the existing profile.
  • Page 10 802.11b Preamble: Define the preamble type for 802.11b mode. QoS Mode: Enable/Disable the QoS function on the TEW-424UB. PSP Xlink Mode: Emable/Disable the PSP Xlink Mode on the TEW-424UB. Fragmentation Threshold: Type the fragmentation threshold in the text box. If packet transfer error rates are high, choose values between 256 and 2432 until packet transfer rates are minimized.

    Association Table: Shows the connected wireless LAN client in list. Refresh: Click to refresh the association table. Configure: Click to configure the TEW-424UB in AP mode. Configure This screen shows the SSID, BSSID (MAC Address) and connected wireless client list information.
