Before first Use
Remove all parts from the packaging. Check the appliance for damage in transit.
Dispose off packaging material or store it out of reach of children. Plastic bags
may become deadly toys for children.
Clean all parts before using the first time as described below under "Cleaning" on
page 7.
Assembling and Preheating
Before first use it is necessary to preheat the raclette grill without ingredients or
oil. The appliance might emit light smell or smoke. This is normal and no cause
for concern. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
1. Place the raclette grill on a solid, level surface.
2. Connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket only. Make sure the ON/OFF
switch (4) is in position "0" so the appliance is switched off.
3. Press the ON/OFF switch in the position "I" and let the appliance heat up for
approx. 15 minutes without placing any ingredients. Switch off the appliance
and pull the plug from the wall socket.
4. Wait until all parts have cooled down fully before cleaning the raclette grill.
Clean the grill plate (1) and the pans (2) with soapy water. Dry all parts com-
pletely before using the raclette grill again.
Using
1. Apply a little oil on the grill plate and the pans and wipe excessive oil with a
kitchen cloth.
The following ingredients are suitable to be used for overbacked cheese:
Cooked potatoes, onions, all kinds of vegetables, ham, lives, spiced gherkins,
cooked meat, shrimps, fruits etc.
2. Place the desired ingredients into the pans and cover them with a slice of
raclette cheese or any kind of cheese, according to your taste. Make sure
- the cheese slices are not thicker than 5 mm,
- the pans are not overfilled and
