- Page 2 5. Pull the Flange (19) and Flow Ring (18) off the front of the Motor Housing (5). 6. Grasp the Collet Body and pull the assembled motor Always wear eye protection when operating or out of the Motor Housing. Remove the Motor performing maintenance on this tool.
- Page 3 5. Using one Collet Wrench to hold the Extension Arbor 6. Press the Throttle Lever Pin (7) from the Housing and (31) and a 7/16” socket, unscrew the Arbor Bearing remove the Throttle Lever (6). Remove the Throttle Nut (30). Valve Plunger (8).
- Page 4 Assembly of the Throttle and Inlet the Front End Plate Spacer (15) that has the central hole beveled. Continue pressing until the dish end is 1. Insert the Throttle Valve Plunger (8) into the Motor flush with the end of the Spacer. Place the assembled Housing (5).

Position the assembled Guard Adapter over the 1 cc of Ingersoll–Rand No. 68 Grease and position the threaded rotor hub in the vise and insert the Straight Coupling over the Arbor Bearing Nut. Position the Wheel Adapter (41) through the Clamp Nut and Clamp Sleeve (28) over the Arbor Coupling against thread it onto the threaded rotor hub.
- Page 6 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Trouble Probable Cause Solution Low power or low free speed Insufficient air pressure Check air line pressure at the Inlet of the tool. It must be 90 psig (6.2 bar/620 kPa). Clogged muffler elements Disassemble the tool and agitate bare Motor Housing and Flange in clean suitable cleaning solution.

Front End Plate Spacer rubbing Replace the Front End Plate and Front End Plate the bore of the Front End Plate Spacer combination.
