Setting Up Your IQAir System

1
A) Unpacking
To unpack your IQAir system, open the top of the box and remove the top foam piece. Lay the box on
its side and pull the air cleaner out by its top handle. Place the system in its upright position and
remove all packaging materials. All related accessories are supplied in a seperate top foam piece
contained in the box.
B) Installing the casters
Installing the casters is not necessary to operate the system; however, it may facilitate moving the air
cleaner from room to room. Please refer to the user manual for caster fitting and removing instructions.
C) Choosing a suitable location
Your IQAir system should be placed in the room where air cleaning is needed. It should be located
ideally one foot (30 cm) away from the nearest vertical surface to allow for maximum air circulation.
D) Connecting to the power supply
Plug the connector-end of the power cord into the base of the system. Locate a suitable wall socket and
connect the power cord. Your IQAir system is now in standby mode, ready to be switched on.

Using the Electronic Control Panel

2
A) Switching your IQAir system on and off
To switch the system on or off, simply press the POWER button, located on the far left of the
control panel. The system is intended to run continuously when users are present. Operating the
system 24 hours per day will not harm the system.
B) Regulating the fan speed
To select the desired fan speed, simply press the ARROW button on the control panel. When the
top speed has been reached, the display will start again at the lowest fan speed.
C) Setting the clock
Setting the time and day of the week is not necessary for your IQAir system to keep track of filter life.
However, setting the clock is required to program the system's daily and weekly timer. For detailed
instructions for setting the clock, please refer to the User Manual, Time & Day Setting.
D) Determining the appropriate fan speed
To achieve a significant air quality improvement, your IQAir system should ideally filter the room's air
volume at least twice per hour at the selected fan speed. Please refer to the Air Exchange Rates section
of the user manual to determine how many air changes per hour can be achieved in differently sized
rooms at the various fan speed settings.
