Safety Safety Symbols DISPOSE OF WOOD BY-PRODUCTS PROPERLY NOTICE Always properly dispose of all wood by-products, including sawdust, chips, and other debris, including operation waste such as coolant, oil, fuel, oil filters, fuel filters, etc. KEEP SAFETY LABELS IN GOOD CONDITION NOTICE Always be sure that all safety decals are clean and readable.
Safety For Models with Engines KEEP HANDS AWAY DANGER! Always keep hands away from moving wood. WARNING! Avoid contact with any hot parts (hydraulic hoses, fittings, engines, as applicable). Allow the system to cool sufficiently before beginning any service func- tion, including debris removal.

Setup and Operation Uncrating SECTION 3 SETUP AND OPERATION Uncrating Your Wood-Mizer Wood Splitter arrives mostly assembled. If any parts are missing, please contact Wood-Mizer support at 1-800-525-8100. NOTICE Install the tongue first to stabilize the entire unit before unloading the main frame. The tongue serves as a counterbalance.
Setup and Operation General Transportation See Figure 3-2. EF5MAN-23 FIG. 3-2 2. Unbolt the Hydraulic control panel from the shipping frame. Discard shipping hardware. 3. Unscrew the two nuts directly above the control panel. 4. Position the panel over the bolts and re-tighten the nuts. 5.
