Error messages on the LCD of the station
If a problem occurs, the POWER/BUSY lamp on the station lights in red
and an error message stating the problem appears on the LCD of the
station.

CHECK RIBBON
•The ink ribbon cartridge is defective.
t Replace the defective ink ribbon cartridge with the new
one.
• The ink ribbon has torn.
t Repair the tear. (page 20)
• The ink ribbon cartridge that can not be used with this
printer has been loaded.
t Load the appropriate ink ribbon cartridge.
PAPER JAMMING
The paper has jammed inside the printer.
t Refer to the insert entitled "If the Paper Jams."
SENSOR TROUBLE Sensor trouble has occurred.
t The printer must not be operated any further. Turn off
the power immediately and contact your Sony service
facility or your Sony dealer.
END OF RIBBON
The ink ribbon has been exhausted.
t Replace the old one with a new ink ribbon cartridge.

(The ink ribbon cannot be reused.)
INSERT RIBBON
The ink ribbon cartridge is not loaded.
t Load the ink ribbon cartridge. (page 17)
SET PAPER
• Paper has been exhausted.
t Load the paper. (page 20)
• The paper tray is not installed.
t Install the paper tray. (page 20)
INSERT RIBBON
The ink ribbon cartridge and paper are not loaded.
SET PAPER
t Load the ink ribbon cartridge and paper.

REMOVE PRINTS
The maximum number of printouts has accumulated on
the paper cover.
t Remove the printouts from the paper cover.
REMOVE PAPER
The paper jams around the paper tray as it is being fed
into the ribbon area.
t Refer to the insert entitled "If the Paper Jams."
CLOSE COVER
The top cover opens.
t Close the top cover.
SET CAMERA
The camera is not connected correctly or the camera is not
turned on.
t Connect the camera correctly (pages 27 and 28), set
the PLAY/CAMERA switch of the camera to PLAY,
then press the PRINT button of the station.
LOW BATTERY
Battery power is low.
PRESS [EXEC]
t Charge the battery (page 31), replace the battery with a
newly charged one (page 29) or use the camera with
an optional AC adaptor (page 26).
To erase the message and return the LCD to the
normal display, press the EXEC button.
CAMERA ERROR
Communication trouble with the camera has occurred.
t Turn off the camera and the printer, then turn them on
again.
