The encoder connection for the STEP AS380 Series depends on the signal type:
1. Open Collector Signal: Connect encoder signals A+, A, A−, B+, B, B− using shielded cable. Ground the shield at the controller end.
2. Push-Pull Signal: Similar to open collector, connect A+, A, A−, B+, B, B− via shielded cable with grounding at the inverter end.
3. SIN/COS Signal (PG card AS.T024): Use encoders with SIN/COS differential output. Connect to the SIN/COS PG card terminals as shown in Fig. 4.25.
4. Endat Absolute Signal (PG card AS.L06/L): Connect to terminals JP3 (FA, V0, FB, V0, 12V) for Endat encoder models like Heidenhain 1313 or 413.
General Requirements: - Shielded cables must be grounded at the inverter or control cabinet. - Keep encoder lines separate from power and resistor lines. - Ensure proper grounding to avoid interference or traction wheel slip.

Encoder connection
The encoder connection for the STEP AS380 Series depends on the signal type:
1. Open Collector Signal: Connect encoder signals A+, A, A−, B+, B, B− using shielded cable. Ground the shield at the controller end.
