AUDIO SETUP
AUDIO OUT
This selects the format of the audio output from the OUTPUT terminal.
If you select "ANALOG" from the SETUP menu, Audio signal w ill be output from "AUDIO OUT" jacks

on rear panel.
If you select "SPDIF/ STREAM " or "SPDIF/ PCM " from the SETUP menu, Audio signal w ill be output from
"DIGITAL OUTPUT" jack on rear panel.(cannot output both signals simultaneously)
ANALOG
Choose this w hen connecting AUDIO OUT terminals to an amplifire.
SPDIF/ STREAM
Choose this w hen connecting to an amplifier w ith built-in Dolby digital or DTS decoder.
When a DVD recorded w ith Dolby digital or DTS is played back, a bitstream signal w ill be put out. When a disc
recorded w ith linear PCM is played back, a linear PCM signal w ill be put out.
SPDIF/ PCM
Choose this for PCM output.
When a DVD recorded w ith Dolby digital is played back, output w ill be made converted to 2-channel PCM . In case
of a DVD recorded w ith DTS, output w ill be made as bitstream.
DOWNM IX
L T/ R T
In case of a DVD recorded by multi channel signal.
L and R signal w ill be mode as Dow n-M ix signal.
LO/ RO
Stereo signal w ill be put out.
AUDIO DRC
For DVD discs w hich is recorded in Dolby Digital format, dynamic range of audio signal can be compressed w hen
you choose ON. It is effective w hen you hear small sound clearly.

The passw ord for RATING setting, change, cancellation, etc. is set.

RATING
This can restrict playback of adult-oriented DVD discs that you do not want to be seen by children.
How ever, even w hen a DVD disc is marked "Adult-oriented" or so on the label, its view ing cannot be
restricted unless the restriction level is recorded in the disc itself. ( 8 )
RATING level;
Level 8: All DVDs can be played back.(Factory preset)
Level 7 to 2: DVDs for general audiences/children can be played back. (DVDs for adults are prohibited.)
Level 1: DVDs for children can be played back. (DVDs for adults/general audiences are prohibited.)

When SCR SAVER is ON , the screen saver function w ill operate after approx. 3 minutes have passed w ith a still
picture (display of KENWOOD).
