The Contemporary Research ICC1-TC Tuner/Controller is a full featured ATSC/NTSC HDTV tuner with an integrated display controller. The ICC1-TC will tune ATSC air, clear QAM cable, and NTSC air and cable channels. The low-profile design allows for mounting behind flat panel displays. -

Installing the ICC1-TC The slim profile of the ICC1-TC allows for mounting behind a flat panel display. The unit may be attached to the flat panel display with user provided hook and loop fastener adhesive tape or attached to the wall using the mounting ears. The unit may also be set flat on a suitable shelf or other stable flat surface. -

Air/Cable The ICC1-TC has separate channel memories for air and cable channels. It is possible to toggle between the two channel memories. A separate channel scan for each mode will be required. HD2-RC IR Remote The optional HD2-RC IR Remote (5024-004) may be used to setup the ICC1-TC and for daily operation. The ICC1-TC is equipped with a front panel IR sensor and a rear panel IR input jack for connection to an optional IR-RXD (5034-001) or compatible remote IR receiver. Each of the functions on the remote have equivalent commands in RS-232 and wired IR formats. -

Control Overview The ICC1-TC tuner/controller may be configured to be used as a component in an iCC-Net control system. iCC-Net is a unique and proprietary control command protocol from Contemporary Research for sending one-way control commands to display controllers, HDTV tuner/controllers, IPTV decoder/controllers, and HDTV tuners over new or existing video distribution infrastructure. -

RS-232 is selected, the RS-232 port will only function as transmit only to control the display. The RS-232 protocols for many common TV and display makes and models are built in to the ICC1-TC application firmware.
