1. INTRODUCTION

In order to mitigate the loss of sensitivity, the gas detection equipment must be calibrated at least once a year, in
some cases three to four times a year or even more.
The calibration is carried out by the manufacturer or his local representative.
Gas detectors must be calibrated with a calibration gas according to the gas to be detected.
Calibration must be performed according to the rules of use and by qualified personnel trained by
Dalemans exclusively.
For further information about the conditions and the procedure of calibration of the gas detectors do not hesitate to
contact Dalemans :
In a Dalemans CAN bus system based on OctoBUS 64 central measuring unit, to perform the complete calibration
procedure of the detectors you need the hand held device OctoPRO or a computer with OctoBUS Configurator
software installed.

OctoPRO and OctoBUS Configurator are optional features and are delivered by Dalemans only. For any request
regarding to these two products please contact Dalemans.
The following instructions give the calibration procedure with OctoPRO device. For more information about the use
of the OctoPRO device please refer to the related instruction manual.
The calibration procedure by mean of a computer is described in the OctoBUS Configurator Instruction Manual.
