Sample Valve (SV-2)
Particulates can become lodged in the sample valve plunger whch would result in a
stuck valve. Remove the nut on the coil and remove the coil. Remove the cover plate and
unscrew the 4 x torqx head screws to expose the plunger and spring. Use a soft brush and
clean water to clean the plunger.
Sample Shutoff Valve (V-1)
This valve has a replacable packing that should be replaced as needed. It is easiest to
remove the valve body from the air actuator assembly by removing the two tubing
connectors and two Allen head retaining screws that hold the valve to the mounting
bracket.
Flow Meter (FE/FT-1)
If removal of the flow transmitter is needed, special attention must be taken to ensure that
the flow tube is not damaged. Any twisting of the tube will damage the sensor. Use one
wrench to hold the fitting on the wrench flat and the other to loosen the nuts furthest
from the transmitter. Make sure that the tube is not bending or flexing while loosening the
nut.
New flow transmitters are supplied with the fitings assembled to them to minimize the
possibility of damaging the tube, however care must be taken during assembly.
