Before first Use

Familiarise yourself with the unit before the first use. Note the safety
instructions and operate the unit only according to this manual.
Remove all packaging from the unit and the accessories.
Dispose of the packaging materials carefully; the plastic bags may become
a deadly toy for children.
After that, clean all components as described in the chapter "Cleaning".
Operation
1. Plug the power plug into a suitable wall socket.
2. Store surplus power cord in the power cord storage (8) on the underside of
the unit.
3. Place the coffee grinder on a level surface.
4. The coffee grinder is now ready to use.

Grinding Coffee / Espresso:

1. Lift the transparent lid (2) off the unit.
2. Put the desired quantity of grist into the container (4). On the next page a few
guidelines are printed, which will be of some help to find the right dosing.
Keep in mind that different kinds of coffee, different preparations, different cup
sizes and your own taste will change the given values. With some experi-
menting you quickly will determine what suits best for you.
Take care not to overload the unit. Do not fill the coffee beans beyond the
measurement marking (3).
3. Put the lid back on. Observe the notch on the lid. Only when the lid is
completely closed, the On/Off button (1) can be operated.
4. Press and hold the On/Off button (1). The machine starts grinding.
5. Do not remove the lid before you have released the On/Off button and the
blades (6) are at complete standstill.
6. Empty the freshly ground coffee made and immediately process it further to
preserve the full flavour.
