We can easily create the tables found in Section 3.1
in the text by using the TABLE operation on the TI-82.
The TABLE Operation
Use the TABLE operation to make a table of values for
the function y = 3x + 1 found in Table 3.1 in the text.
Solution. Press the keys 2nd TblSet to obtain the
table setup menu. You should see the following.
Move the blinking cursor to the Ask on the next to the
last line and press the ENTER key. Ask will then be
highlighted. Make sure that Auto is highlighted on the
last line. Now, using the Y = key, enter the function
Y = 3x + 1. To obtain the table press the keys 2nd
