    Center Hole Center Hole Bumps Installation Location Make sure the IVA-D100 will not be installed in a location subjected to: • Direct sun and heat • High humidity and water • Excessive dust • Excessive vibrations Correct Handling Do not drop the disc while handling.
  • Page 10: Discs Playable On This Unit

    This will restrict operation of these functions to times when the vehicle is parked. This ensures the focus of the driver’s attention will be on the road and not on the IVA-D100. This has been done for the safety of the driver and passengers.
  • Page 11 Hybrid Audio CD and Data (MP3/WMA) CD-R/RW discs: The IVA-D100 can read either sector on the disc. Choose CD-DA to play the CD audio section or MP3/WMA to play the MP3/WMA section.*...
  • Page 12 Using DVD-Rs/DVD-RWs/DVD+Rs/DVD+RWs • This unit is compatible discs recorded in the DVD-Video and DVD-VR mode. • Note that discs not finalized (processed to enable to play on playback-only DVD players) cannot be played on this DVD player. • Some discs may not play back, depending on the recording device and disc format.

    • The indicator slowly blinks when the backlighting (BLACK OUT function) is set to OFF. • The indicator blinks in the voice guidance mode when an ALPINE navigation system is connected. Disc Guide Indicator Lights up when power is turned on.

    Press and hold SOURCE/POWER for at least 2 seconds to turn off the unit. • The IVA-D100 draws minimal current even when its power switch is turned off. If the switched power (ignition) lead of the IVA-D100 is connected directly to the positive (+) post of the vehicle's battery, the battery may be discharged.

    Moving the Monitor to be Flat When you want to operate some function on the car (air conditioner, etc.) which is hidden by the raised monitor, use this function. When the monitor is open, press OPEN (FLAT). The monitor moves to the flat position. Press OPEN (FLAT) again.

In the manual mode, touch and hold to change the frequency continuously. • “DIGITAL” is displayed when a digital radio station is received. Setting Analog Mode (HD Radio mode only) While receiving HD radio, you can switch to analog signal mode, even in areas that receive digital radio station signals.

  • Page 21 Media supported The media that this device can play back are CD-ROMs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs. Corresponding File Systems This device supports discs formatted with ISO9660 Level 1 or Level 2. Under the ISO9660 standard, there are some restrictions to remember. The maximum nested folder depth is 8 (including the root directory).

    Video-CD discs can be used. Playing a Disc IVA-D100 has a built-in DVD player. When an optional Alpine DVD/ video CD/CD player (or DVD changer) is connected to the IVA-D100, you can control it from the IVA-D100. (except some operations)

    The display shows the DVD player mode screen. Insert a disc with the label side facing up. The unit starts to play the disc. When an optional Alpine DVD player is connected: Insert a disc into the DVD/video CD/CD player, the player starts playing.

    Rear Selection Function While listening to the radio or other audio source, at the same time, pictures in a disc inserted in the IVA-D100 can be enjoyed in the rear monitor. However, only pictures are output, not sound. Press SETUP.

    In Mode 2 (Cinema), the monitor displays a normal picture by stretching out the picture horizontally and vertically. This mode is good for displaying a cinema type picture at the 16 : 9 ratio. In Mode 3 (Normal), the monitor displays a normal picture at the center of the screen with a vertical black band at each side.

    Connect each input lead coming from an amplifier or equalizer to the corresponding output lead coming from the left rear of the IVA-D100. Connect all other leads of the IVA- D100 according to details described in the Connections section.
