Protective foil for the touch screen
Product Information
This product information applies to protective foils for SIMATIC devices with a touch screen. The protective foil prevents the
device touch screen from getting dirty or scratched. The protective foil is self-adhesive. In addition, the matt surface of the
protective foil reduces reflections. The protective foil does not affect the operation of the touch screen. However, you might
have to press somewhat harder on the protective foil in order to trigger a function.
NOTICE
Extended periods of exposure to sun
Extended periods of exposure to sunlight can damage the protective foil.
Do not expose the protective foil to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Store the protective foil in a dark location if
possible.
Attaching the protective foil
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the device.
2. Clean the front of the device with a soft cloth.
Use a regular mild household cleaning agent in the event of extensive soiling.
3. Remove the protective paper backing from the protective foil.
4. Depending on the display size, attach the protective foil flat to the front of the device as follows:

The protective foil can be removed without leaving any adhesive residue stuck to the touch screen.
NOTICE
Damage to the touch screen
Sharp objects may damage the touch screen of the device.
You should never use a sharp object, such as a knife, to remove the protective foil.
