20. Input ratings are shown in BTU per hour and are for
elevations up to 4,500 feet. For elevations above 4,500
each 1,000 feet above sea level. Refer to the National
Fuel Gas Code.
21. The appliance and its appliance main gas valve must be
disconnected from the gas supply piping system during
any pressure testing of that system at test pressures
in excess of

system by closing its equipment shutoff valve during
any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at
test pressures equal to or less than

B. Clear Space Requirements

• DO NOT place combustible objects in front of the
appliance. High temperatures could start a fire. See
Figure 7.2. Avoid placing candles and other heat-
sensitive objects on mantel or hearth. Heat could
damage other objects.

be set up for compatible gas type!
• This appliance is designed to operate on either natural
gas or propane. Make sure the appliance is compatible
with gas type selected for installation site.

clearances to combustibles as specified in the installation
instructions.
D. Before Lighting Appliance
Before operating this fireplace for the first time, have a
qualified service technician:
• Verify all shipping materials have been removed from
inside and/or underneath the appliance
• Review proper placement of media
• Ensure that there are no gas leaks
