    The bed has a rolling base that allows it to be rolled or locked at any height. The Alterra MAXX bed is equipped with TWO brakes locks; one on the head end of the bed and one on the foot end.

  • Page 14 UNDER BED LIGhTING The Alterra MAXX comes standard with LED lighting located under the center of the bed deck on both sides. The LED lighting can be turned on using the hand pendant. The LED lighting can assist with illuminating the surrounding areas of the bed when transitioning in/out of the bed.
  • Page 15 Prior to putting the bed in use, ensure that each bed deck extension piece is locked in place. CASTER GUIDES The Alterra MAXX is equipped with two swing down caster positioning guides located at the head end of the bed. The caster positioning guides will keep the casters straight when flipped down, to eliminate one swivel point and allow for ease of bed movement.
  • Page 16 SECTION kICkSTAND The Alterra MAXX is equipped with a kickstand for holding up the head section of the bed for easy access to the power cord and bed control box. NEVER use the kickstand while anyone is in the bed. The kickstand is used for Maintenance ONLY.

Re synchronize the self leveling hi low motors by lowering the bed to its lowest position and holding the elevation down button on the hand pendant an additional 5 seconds after the bed has reached its lowest elevation 10. Test the bed by raising and lowering elevation. NOTE: When replacing head and foot actuators, special care needs t be taken to secure all wiring with cable ties as necessary to reduce strain from the actuator cables.
