3. Mounting of the hand guard and the
storage holder
a) Press the hand guard onto the fastening bars
from above. Insert the two recessed-head screws
into the drill holes provided and screw them
down. (Figure D)
b) Fasten the holder to the wall using two screws as
shown in Figure E. In this way, the hedge trimmer
can be suspended from the wall.
Operation of the hedge trimmer is not permitted
without the hand guard!

4. Electric mains
The hedge trimmer can only be operated with 230 V
single-phase alternating current - 50 Hz alternating
voltage. The appliance is fully insulated and may
therefore also be connected to sockets without earth
conductor. Prior to start-up, make sure that the
supply voltage conforms with the operating voltage
indicated on the nameplate.
5. Start-up and operation
The hedge trimmer is equipped with a two-hand
protective circuit.
The hedge trimmer only operates if the bracket-
mounted push-button 6 on the guiding handle 5 is
pressed with one hand and the handle switch 3 is
pressed with the other hand at the same time.
If one of the switches is released, the blades stop.
Please note that the blades do not come to a
standstill for 0.5 seconds.
