If the patient's chest is not clean, the
defibrillation pads may not make adequate
contact with the patient. Remove any
medicine patches and residual adhesive
from the patient's chest before applying the
pads.
radiated emissions
While the HeartStart complies with
radiated emission standards, some medical
equipment may still be impacted by
emissions from the HeartStart. If this
occurs, move the impacted equipment away
from the HeartStart until the HeartStart is
no longer needed for the patient, or EMS
arrives and takes over the scene.
environmental conditions
Using the HeartStart outside of the specified
environmental range (temperature,
humidity, atmospheric pressure) may result
in incorrect or intermittent operation.
Make sure the HeartStart is stored in an
environment according to the owner's
manual.
