  • Page 3 THE BASICS HOW DO I START THE OPC566E? STARTING Position your Wood Chipper on flat, dry ground. Make sure the fuel shut-off valve is in the “ON” position. Move the choke control lever to the “CHOKE” position (should only be needed if the engine is cold).

    MAINTENANCE HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY CHIPPER? Regular maintenance is the way to ensure the best performance and long life of your machine. Please refer to the OPC566E Operations Manual for in- depth maintenance procedures. WARNING: BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE OR INSPECTION, STOP THE ENGINE, WAIT FIVE MINUTES TO ALLOW ALL PARTS TO COOL.
  • Page 7 DRUM BLOCKAGE HOW DO I UNBLOCK MY OPC566E? WHEN BLOCKED Remove the drum shaft’s side shield. Turn the drum counter-clockwise. IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE DRIVE BELTS FOR SEVERE JAMS. This relieves the resistance on the direct drive system, making the drum easier to turn and free up.

    TROUBLESHOOTING MY OPC566E ENGINE WON’T START CHECKLIST IS THE SAFETY BAR RESET? IS THE PALM BUTTON RESET? Is the fuel shut-off valve on? SLIDE THE LEVER ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. Are you using fresh, clean gas? If the gas is old, change it. Use a fuel stabilizer if you keep gas longer than 30 days.
