ADJUST THE AMBIENT LIGHT LEVEL
The Ambient Light Level feature enables the user to adjust the ambient light level needed to
be detected before the sensor turns lighting ON. Adjust the lighting from the light level dial
on the sensor (see Figure 4). You can set the dial anywhere between 1 and 4 to obtain the
optimal brightness configuration for the room.
ULTRASONIC SENSOR SENSITIVITY
The Ultrasonic sensor sensitivity is set with ULTRASONIC trimpot (see Figure 4). Increase
sensitivity for larger rooms, decrease sensitivity to avoid false triggers in smaller rooms and
near doorway or heat source. Settings: 1 is 30%, 4 is 100%, factory set to 65% (middle).
PIR SENSOR SENSITIVITY
Adjust the PIR sensitivity level with DIP Switch (1). The Up position sets the sensitivity to
100%, while the down position adjusts the sensitivity level to 50%. Factory setting: 100%.
TRIGGER MODE
The sensor trigger mode is set with DIP Switches 2 and 3. The unit can be set for motion
detection to use:
BOTH – requires motion detection by PIR and Ultrasonic sensors
EITHER – requires motion detection by one of the two sensor technologies
PIR – requires motion detection by PIR
US – requires motion detection by ultrasonic sensor
There are 4 Trigger modes set with DIP Switches 2 and 3 as follows (see Table 1):
TIME DELAY
The sensor will hold the load ON as long as occupancy is detected. The user defined
TIME DELAY countdown starts when no motion is detected. After TIME DELAY, loads will
be turned OFF. The TIME DELAY is set with DIP switches 4, 5, 6, as follows (see Table 2):
WALK THROUGH MODE
DIP Switch (7) in down position, sensor will operate normally. Dip Switch (7) in up position
will maintain sensor ON (See Table 3).
When Walk Through is Enabled, sensor will turn load OFF after 3 minutes if no activity is
detected after 30 seconds of load being triggered ON.
For proper operation, the Sensor Switch has to consume power from hot and Neutral. Therefore, Secured Neutral Wires are required.
Initial run:
The load is flashing frequently:
The load does not turn ON without LED flashing or
LED flashing regardless of motion:
The load does not turn ON while LED is flashing
and motion is detected:
The load does not turn OFF:
The load turns ON unintentionally :

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. The Sensor Switch needs initial run within one minute. During the initial run, the load might be turned On and Off several times.
2. The Time Delay knob is set to 15 seconds default, do not adjust it until initial run is finished and proper operation function is confirmed.
1. It can take up to one minute for initial run.
2. Check the wiring connections, especially the Neutral Wire.
1. Push Manual On/Off Button, if the load turns On; verify that Sensitive Range is on high. If the load does not turn ON, go to Step 2.
2. Check the wiring connections, especially Hot line and Neutral wire.
1. Check to see if Ambient Light Level is enabled by covering the lens by hand.
2. Push Manual On/Off Button, if the load turns On; verify that Sensitivity Range is on high. If the load does not turn On, go to Step 3.
3. Check the wiring connections, especially Hot Line and Neutral wire.
1. There can be up to a 30 minute time delay after the last motion is detected. To verify proper operation, turn the Time Delay Knob to 15s
(Test Mode), make sure there is no motion (no LED flashing), the load should turn Off in 15 seconds.
2. Check the wiring connections, especially the Neutral wire to the sensor switch.
1. If OCC mode is not desired, change Band Switch to VAC mode.
2. If OCC mode is desired, turn the Sensitivity Level Knob counter-clockwise to avoid false alerts in smaller rooms or near doorway.
NOTE: If problems continue, consult a qualified electrician.
