1.4.6
Bottom pressure
The machine is standard equipped with a mechanical bottom relief by means of
feathers. The springs can be adjusted in pretension by adjusting the bolt height.
1.4.7
Wheel slip tractor
In order to achieve optimal wheel slip during plowing, is it important that there is
sufficient weight in the front lift to have the optimal wheel slip of the tractor. This
can be adjusted with the bottom pressure of the machine combined with adding or
removing extra weights (green arrow) to the parallelogram arms.
When weights removed or added, lifting equipment must be available. The weights
weigh 25 kg(+/- 55lb) each.
1.4.8
Gearbox
To protect the oil to drain, the breather is replaced by plastic plug during transport from manufacturer to the farmer.
Before taking the machine in service the plastic plug must be replaced by the breather. During transport the breather is
fixed to the drive shaft of the gearbox.
1.4.9
De machine van de tractor afkoppelen
The machine must be placed on the supports and rear roller. Then place the hydraulics
in free-flow position, so that the 3-point suspension rests on the frame. Switch off the
tractor to disconnect the PTO and remove the pins from the top link and lift arms.
1.4.10 Transport
If the flail mower needs to be unloaded / moved, use a lifting
device that is suitable for the weight of the flail mower concerned
(see technical specifications).
The machine must be lifted with a lifting strap on the lifting eyes
welded to the 3-point hitch.
1.5 Precautions
Every time before you take the machine in service the following items have to be checked:
• The machine and the tractor checked for operational and road safety
• That all bolts and nuts are sufficiently tight. Retighten if necessary
• Oil level in gearbox (chapter 1.7)
• V-belt tension (chapter 1.8)
• Condition of cutting flails (chapter 1.9)
• Grease points (chapter 1.10)
