These parameters let you enable or
disable the IDE devices connected to
the primary and secondary IDE
connectors.
This item is used to enable and
disable IDE prefetch mode.
This feature enhances disk
performance by allowing multisector
data transfers and eliminates the
interrupt handling time for each
sector. Most IDE drives, except with
old designs, can support this
feature.
