Initial commissioning

4.1

Fitting the storage battery

WARNING -- Danger of explosion when
charging the storage battery!
Burns and injury can be caused if the sto-
rage battery explodes from improper char-
ging!
Only use the batteries designated for
DCU 220.
Only use the storage battery charging
station designated for DCU 220.
Only use the power supply unit specified
for the DCU 220.
Heed the notes on disposal.
Storage battery must not be heated,
burnt, short-circuited, mechanically da-
maged and charged with excessively high
currents or reverse polarity!
Suitable extinguishing agents: water, CO
sand.
Open the cover for the storage battery (
on the right side) that you want to insert.
1. Push the cover lock into unlocked position ( ) ().
2. Push the cover upward ().
3. Open the cover.

4. Push the storage battery completely into the com-
partment with the labeling upward.
5. Push the storage battery lock to the left into locked
position; make sure not to pull on the ribbon.

Slide the battery lock all the way to the right.
6. Close the cover and push it downward until it locks
in place.

7. Then push the lock into locked position ( ).

The lock can only engage if the cover is snapped
in. The lock must be securely engaged so that the
bottom, red part cannot be seen.

Plug socket

Prior to the initial commissioning, make sure the mains
voltage coincides with the voltage specified on the pow-
er supply unit (use the power supply cable provided).

The scope of delivery only includes the German
power supply cable.

Securing the stylus

The stylus can be secured to the laptop using the
string.

Configuration of the operating sys-
tem
1. Supply the DCU 220 with voltage by way of the pow-
er supply unit.
2. Switch on DCU 220.
3. After switching on for the first time, select the Win-
dows operating system language via the language se-
lection menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

The on-screen keyboard can be opened in the "Ease
of Access Center" window (Icon  
4. Select the wireless network (WLAN) of the work-
shop in the "Connect" window.
