PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Figure 1 illustrates the 3M™ Protecta
approved vertical lifelines and approved lanyards. Together, the Rope Grab, with the approved vertical lifeline and approved
lanyard, is intended to be used as part of a personal fall arrest or restraint system.
Figure 2 illustrates components of the Rope Grab. See Table 1 for Component Specifications. The Rope Grab provides a portable
lanyard connection point on a 5/8 in. diameter rope lifeline. The Rope Grab is designed to automatically follow the user and may
be detached anywhere along the lifeline. DO NOT HANDLE THE DEVICE WHILE ASCENDING OR DESCENDING.

Fall Arrest: Use Protecta Energy-Absorbing Lanyard 1341002 (3 ft. length). Do not use a Restraint
Specifications:
Lanyard. Length of the Energy-Absorbing Lanyard must be ≤ 3.0 ft. to comply with OSHA.
Restraint: Use a Restraint Lanyard that meets ANSI Z359.3 requirements. The length of the Restraint
Lanyard must be set up so that no free fall is possible. The Restraint Lanyard must be ≤ 3.0 ft.

Never use a lanyard longer than the lengths stated above or combine multiple together.
Vertical Lifeline
This Rope Grab is certified for use ONLY with the following approved Protecta Vertical Lifelines.

Requirements
The Rope Grab may be used only with 3M-approved vertical lifelines and lanyards of a specific length.
