2. Safety
Place a note with all important measures and weights in a
visible place in both the van and the driver's cab.
Exterior
Check the exterior of the vehicle and carry out the following
preparations before driving:
Preparing the vehicle
• Retract the entrance step
• If necessary, switch off the awning light.
• If necessary, pack away the awning
handle securely in the van.
• If necessary, retract the satellite dish
• Close and lock the sliding door, rear flaps and locker doors.
• Close the tap for the waste water tank.
• Secure gas cylinders.
• If connected remove the 230 V electric cable from the exterior
socket.
• If necessary, secure any bicycles on the bicycle carrier
lashing them with the fastening straps to prevent them
from slipping, and ensure that the vehicles rear lights are
not covered. Fold away and secure the empty cycle carrier
when reversing (see Chapter 5.4).

2.6 Whilst driving
Your van is not a car!
In many situations, it reacts very differently to a "normal" car.

Therefore, you should be prepared for the following differences:

The following applies while driving
• Only those seats equipped with seat belts may be used by
passengers.
• People may not be lying in the beds while driving.
• Passengers must remain in their seats with their seat belt on!
