GENERAL
This section provides specific adjust -
1. 01
r
ments for the 5 - le vel 28E and 28H trans
mitter distributor. This section is reissued to
add recent engineering changes and additions,
and to rearrange the order of adjustments. Ar-
rows
the margin indicate changes and ad
in
L
ditions.
1.02
The adjustments are arranged in a se-
quence that should be followed if a com
plete readjustment is undertaken. The tools and
spring scales required to perform these adjust
ments are found in tool Section 570 - 005-800.
A complete adjusting procedure should be read
before attempting to make the adjustment. After
an adjustment is completed, be sure to tighten
any nuts or screws that may have been loosened.
Where an illustration shows interrelated parts,
the sequence that should be followed in checking
the requirements and making the adjustments is
indicated by the letters, (A), (B), (C), etc.
1.03
The adjusting illustrations indicate toler-
ances, positions of moving parts, spring
tensions, and the angle at which scales should
be applied.
Coil springs which do not meet the
requirements, and for which there are no ad
justing procedures, should be discarded and re
placed with new springs.
shims i s removed, t h e number o f shims used at
each mounting screw should be noted so that the
same number is replaced when the part is re
mounted.
