Getting to Know the Windows ® XP Operating System
This lesson teaches you how to launch programs from the
Start menu, using two of the programs that are built into the
operating system: Paint and Windows

Click Start, then All Programs.

Point to Accessories, then click Paint.
The operating system opens Paint—a basic drawing
program.

The operating system opens Windows
provides access to all your computer's resources. For
example, it lets you see all the files in a particular folder
on the computer's hard disk.
