Opening the display panel

Slide the display latch to the right, then lift the panel.

CAUTION: Be sure not to force the display panel open
beyond the point where it moves easily.
Never lift or move the computer by grasping the display
panel.

Turning on the power

1 Make sure the diskette drive is empty.
2 If you have a printer connected to your computer, turn the
printer on and wait until it indicates that it is ready (online).
3 Turn on the computer by momentarily pressing then releasing
the power button.
