IMPORTANT:

Before removing the heat sink and the fan, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the base enclosure (see

Remove the heat sink and the fan:
1.
Disconnect the heat sink connector from the system board (1), and then loosen the cables from the
routing channels.
2.
Remove 3 screws from the heat sink(2), and then loosen 3 captive screws from the fan (3).
