    DOCUMENT 1136 REV. G Instruction Manual Pro APF Series LED ICAO TCL, IHP, & STP General Description The Crouse-Hinds IEC Style 3 ICAO taxiway centerline (TCL), intermediate hold position (IHP), and stop bar (STP) lights are designed for installation coincident or perpendicular to the centerline of taxiways or any other location where visual guidance of moving or stopped aircraft or ground vehicles is desirable.

G Instruction Manual Pro APF Series LED ICAO TCL, IHP, & STP IMPORTANT: IMPORTANT Proper transformer wattage is dependent on the configuration options of your light unit(s) and is necessary for meeting ICAO specifications. See section 12, tables 2 and 3 for minimum transformer requirements. Specifying the Location The correct orientation of the light units is extremely important.

Toeing Figures Toed and curved (bidirectional toed) light units offer a light beam that is angled with respect to the alignment of the light fixture.

G Instruction Manual Pro APF Series LED ICAO TCL, IHP, & STP Heico-Lock Installation Guidelines Step 1: Hand tighten to ensure that 2-3 threads extend beyond the nut on through-bolt applications. Step 2: Tighten each bolt to one-third of the final required torque following the pattern as shown below. Step 3: Increase the torque to two-thirds following the pattern shown below.

    DOCUMENT 1136 REV. G Instruction Manual Pro APF Series LED ICAO TCL, IHP, & STP The groove is designed to be wider than the o-ring. This provides room for the NOTICE displacement of the o-ring when compressed between the groove on the optical housing and mating surface on the inner cover.

Clean the mounting flange area of the light base. Install the light unit into the light base per section 8.4. Pressure Test A light unit should be subjected to a 140kpa (20-psi) air pressure test to verify that it is waterproof whenever it has been opened or components have been replaced.

DO NOT open a unit. If the unit is opened, the warranty is VOID. If the warranty period has expired and troubleshooting is required, follow the steps below to find the root cause.
