Problem
The vacuum cleaner
switches off automati‐
cally.

Cause and remedy
The overheating mechanism has been activated due
to, for example, overheating or a blockage.
Vacuum cleaners with a rotary selector dial: the vac‐
uum cleaner in-operation indicator lights up red.
Vacuum cleaners with + / - buttons: the thermal cut-
out indicator lights up red.
 Switch the Electrobrush and the vacuum cleaner
off, switch off at the wall socket and remove the
plug.
 Check the vacuum cleaner for any blockages and
check all the filters in the vacuum cleaner.
Once the blockage has been removed do not use the
vacuum cleaner for about 20 - 30 minutes to allow it
to cool down.
The red light indicates a blockage in the roller, for ex‐
ample due to a large item being vacuumed up.
 Switch the Electrobrush and the vacuum cleaner
off, switch off at the wall socket and remove the
plug.
 Remove the blockage.
The vacuum cleaner can then be used again.
The overheating protection mechanism has been acti‐
vated due to, for example, overheating or a blockage.
 Switch the Electrobrush and the vacuum cleaner
off, switch off at the wall socket and remove the
plug.
 Check the vacuum cleaner for any blockages and
check all the filters in the vacuum cleaner.
The Electrobrush has to cool down. To speed this up:
 Switch the vacuum cleaner back on.
 Vacuum for approx. 10 minutes without switching
the Electrobrush on.
This will cool the Electrobrush down so that it can
then be used again as normal.
