8. Operation

Power
Make sure that your device is provided with the correct voltage. Wrong voltage could
lead to irreparable damages. Please find the correct voltage data in the synoptical table
at the end of this manual. It must be ensured that the device is not directed to people
or inflammable objects during installation. The "Power" diode on the rear side of the
device begins to light up after the device has been connected to power and the
key has been switched ‚ON'.

ILDA in / ILDA through
The device can be controlled via ILDA control signal. There are a ILDA-in (ILDA input)
and a ILDA-through (ILDA loop through) interface on the rear side of the device. Con-
nect the laser system to the control interface (DAC) by using an ILDA cable. Do not con-
nect the laser to standard parallel port at your computer, but always use an appropriate
ILDA interface (usually is sold together with the laser control software). After that you
are able to control your laser by a showlaser software (e.g. Phoenix or Pangolin). Use the
ILDA-through interface to daisy-chain the signals (from ILDA-in) to a further device.

Remote Connection for Control Pad
Please connect the remote control pad to the control port at the rear side of the unit
with an RJ45 cable (included in the delivery) to operate the touchscreen pad. There is no
laser output when the cable isn't connected.

Fuse
There is a fuse at the rear side of the device. If the fuse should blow, please change it by
a new 4At. If the problems recurs, please contact your dealer or the Laserworld service
department.
5.
Key Switch (at the remote control pad)
There is a key switch at the remote control pad. Please connect the key with the switch
and turn it on. The laser device only runs when the key is inserted and switched on.
Prevent misuse! Unplug the key when the laser is unattended to prevent misuse of
the system.
6.
Emergency Stop (at the remote control pad)
There is an emergency stop at the remote control pad. Press the button in dangerous
situations to interrupt the laser emission. Pull the button to enable the laser emission.
7.
Safety Presets
This device has a preset active Scan Fail Safety.
