process. The Soak begins (timer starts) when the PV=SV. The timer starts (relay switches ON)
and ends when the timer stops (relay switches OFF).
For Event timers, a single action may be required at a certain point in a process. An ON timer
can be used in such cases. Set the timer ('P.tme', in Menu 4) to match the point in the process
where the action is to take place.
When the timer starts (PV=SV), the relay remains OFF but switches ON when the timer stops,
to control the 'event'. Alarm timer relays can be wired in series with control output relays as
shown.
11.5 RS-485 Interface Option
The optional RS-485 PC communications utility allows up to 32 controllers to be addressed
individually by a Windows PC. When communicating, the controller's keypad is inactive and
only the connected PC can control the VFL. Contact Extech for additional information.
