11. Cleaning and care

EN
Powder-coated surfaces such as cabinets and garment lockers should be
cleaned with a cloth soaked with luke-warm water to which neutral to mildly
alkali cleaning agents may be added.
Wood is a natural material which is affected by the ambient temperature and
humidity. To prevent the penetration of humidity and to restore the natural
grain and colour of the material, you can apply linseed oil to unvarnished
workbench tops every now and again (caution - cloths soaked in linseed oil
can ignite spontaneously!) or conventional cooking oil. Cold pressed oil is
FR
particularly recommended for this, since it does not clog the fine pores, and
penetrates better into the wood.
Avoid extreme temperatures, high humidity and aggressive cleaning agents.
Greasy, oily or rusty residues, and residues of adhesives, silicone rubber or ad-
hesive tapes can be removed using white spirit or isopropyl alcohol. Always
take care to use only non-abrasive cloths or cleaning agents.
Never use corrosive materials, scouring agents, solvents, halogenated hy-
drocarbons or the like for cleaning.
IT
Please use commercially-available glass cleaners for cleaning polycarbonate
windows. Avoid using scratchy cloths. TFT / LCD screen cleaner item 08 9190
size Yellow from the Hoffmann Group is particularly suitable.
Under no circumstances use abrasive cleaners, sharp cleaners, (degrea-
sed) wash-out agents, spray cleaners for glass, scouring cloths or brushes.
Solvents such as acetone, carbon tetrachloride, paint thinners, or alcohol
compounds containing more than 5% alcohol can attack the surface.
All moving parts such as hinges, slides, wheel bearings or rollers and locks
ES
retain their smooth running only if they are moistened occasionally with
sprayed oil (such as No. 08 3000 WD-40 multi-function oil spray). Pay particu-
lar attention to rollers and axes of rolling cabinets. Threads or scraps of fabric
can clog the rollers.
42
Regularly check all components and screw fastenings on the cabinets for
tightness, good condition and operation.
If there is any damage to the cabinets, to its components or accessory
parts, or any doubts about its safety:
Block access to the cabinet and prevent its use.
X
Have the damage repaired immediately.
X
