EV (Exposure Value)
This setting adjusts the camera's auto exposure program. Increasing the value (+) results in a brighter
image exposure. Decreasing the value (-) results in a darker image exposure. The EV setting can be
adjusted from +3.0 to -3.0 in 0.3 step increments. Each step is equivalent to approximately 1 exposure
stop.
Focus
There are two options – Auto focus or Manual focus. Selecting Manual allows you to manually adjust the
focus using the up/down buttons. When Manual is selected, push the OK button in Photo and Video
modes to switch between zooming function and manual focus (MF) function. Manual focus can be
adjusted from 0.00 (closest focus) to 1.00 (infinity focus) in 0.05 increments.
This setting is useful when photographing smaller subjects in the foreground, but the camera attempts to
focus on the larger background area.
WB (White Balance)
The white balance setting adjusts the color temperature of light that you are shooting in, so natural colors
can be restored. For example, shooting a white object underwater [without photo-video lighting], will appear
blue/green rather than white. Adjusting the white balance setting can offset this color shift effect and make
this object appear white again.
The default WB setting is Auto and works well in most ambient lighting environments, but not so well
underwater unless you are using a photo-video light. You may manually adjust the WB color temp from
