Explanation: Intermittent problems are the hardest to resolve. RF (radio frequency) communication may come and go occasionally. This can be normal in some environments (e.g. moister climates). 1. In normal mode, hold then release the TEMP ALERT button to toggle the alerts: Outdoor HI Outdoor LO 2. Press the UP ARROW button to arm the selected alert. Explanation: On a brand new temperature station, check for thin plastic film of printed scratch guard that may be on the screen of the temperature station. Remove batteries from temperature station. Press any button 20 times. Leave the temperature station unpowered for 1-2 hours. Install fresh alkaline batteries with correct polarity.
