Maintenance

ATTENTION!
Before carrying out any work, disconnect the pump from the electrical system and secure it from being
accidentally switched on again. Check the discharge pipe line for damage.
To avoid danger if the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person.
If the pump is taken out of service, in order to prevent deposition of soil or other materials the pump
should be cleaned by pumping clear water.
Inlet screen:
If there are leaves or fibrous matter in the medium being pumped we recommend that the inlet screen
be cleaned from time to time.
Rotate the inlet screen clockwise to remove it, and anti-clockwise to lock it back into place.
Level control float:
/
Remove the float housing from the pump by pressing it in at its sides at its lower end and pulling it
free from the motor housing.
/
Remove the float from the float housing.
/
Clean all parts.
/
Refit the float and float housing.
/
When pressing on the float housing it is necessary that the change-over switch "HAND/ AUTO" is
in the lower position.
/
Press the selector switch upwards and check the pump at setting "HAND".
If there are problems, please contact your GC and G.U.T. partner.
