SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these safety instructions. Failure to comply with these instructions can lead to
property damage and / or personal injury or death.
CAUTION
Risk of burns! The device gets very hot during and after use. Use oven
gloves to protect against burns, and keep children and pets away from
the grill.
• The grill is suitable for outdoor use only. Do not operate the grill inside buildings,
garages or other enclosed areas.
• The device components must not be changed by the user of the device.
• Do not leave the device unattended while it is in use.
• Ensure the appliance is used away from flammable materials. Minimum safe
distances are: Above the appliance 1.2 m, at the rear and sides 600 mm.
• When changing the gas cylinder, make sure that there is a distance of at least one
metre to ignition sources.
• Ensure that the gas container is fitted or changed outdoors, away from any sources
of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people.
• Keep gas containers away from heat and flame. Do not place on a stove or any
other hot surface.
• Ensure that assembled product is stable and does not rock.
• In the event of light back (where the flame burns back and ignites at the jet),
immediately turn off the gas supply by closing the control valve on the gas
container and then the appliance valve. After the flame is extinguished remove the
regulator and check the condition of its seal. Replace the seal, if in doubt. Re-light
the appliance as described in Chart Operation. Should the flame persistently light
back, return the product to where you purchased.
• If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into
a flame free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to
check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside.
• Turn off the gas supply of the unit in the event of a leak at the gas valve.
• Always perform a leak test before switching on the device as described in this
manual. Check the hose, regulator, valve and all other gas lines for holes. Never
use the device if you find a gas leak.
• If rain, snow, hail, sleet or other forms of rain fall into the grill while cooking with oil
or fat, immediately cover the cooking bowl and turn off the burner and gas supply.
Do not try to move the appliance or the cooking container.
• When grilling, the appliance must be placed on a flat, stable, non-combustible
surface and at a safe distance from flammable materials.
• Do not move the device while it is in use.
• This appliance should never be used as a heater.
