Frigo DC
• Do not attach any cables, electrical wiring or hose lines to the hoses of the
brake system.
• Lay all hose lines and electrical wiring in such a way that they are free of
mechanical loads.
• Fasten the cable sets with cable binders and hose clips.
• Join the compact plug connections so that snap-in points are fixed.
• During the assembly of the watertight plug housing ensure that the rubber
seals for the cables and plug housing are present.
• In areas at high-risk of splashing (e.g. engine compartment, underbody), pro-
tect plug connections that are not watertight with an additional protective
wax spray, insulating tape or similar. Corrosion on the plug connections can
cause failure of the transport refrigeration system.
• Ensure that the subsequently fitted fuse box is installed outside of the areas
exposed to splashing. Maintain a distance of at least 30 mm from fluid cir-
cuits. A distance of 300 mm must be maintained between fuse boxes and
flammable liquids (fuel filter, tank etc.).
• Install the fuse box as close as possible to the battery.
• Do not connect any additional power consuming devices to the assigned
fuses.
• Do not attach any additional cables (e.g. insulation-displacement connector)
to the existing cable lines.

Checking installation conditions

A
NOTICE!
Ensure that the vehicle complies with the minimum requirements for the instal-
lation. Correct functioning of the electrical refrigeration system cannot be guar-
anteed in the event of non-observance or alterations.
➤ Check whether the vehicle is equipped with thermal insulation with a k-value
of 0.4 W (m²/K) for the loading area.
➤ Check the requirements of the vehicle owner for the use of an electrical refrig-
eration system, such as:
– Calculation of the required refrigeration capacity
– Storage temperature of the food to be transported
– Number of door openings per hour
➤ Take suitable measures to prevent temperature changes that are too great
during loading and unloading, such as installing strip curtains on the loading
area doors or other openings.
