Installing the transport refrigeration system
➤ Check the output voltage of the three phase generator (14 – 15 V).
➤ Check for efficient functioning of all electrically operated vehicle compo-
nents. If errors or defects are identified, please inform workshop manage-
ment and the vehicle owner.

Installing the DC unit

WARNING!
Observe the original instructions of the vehicle manufacturer and the vehicle-
specific installation manual (Frigo DC VAK) for the installation of the DC unit
holder.

NOTICE!
Vehicles that have been equipped with an electrical refrigeration system and
possess a spare tire must be equipped with a suitable breakdown kit before
handover to the vehicle user. Inform the vehicle owner about the removal of
the spare tire.
7.5

Installing the evaporator

7.5.1
Making through-holes in the insulation
➤ Mark the position of the drill holes (position see fig. 5, page 5).
➤ Drill two holes at a slight incline in the insulation (diameter see fig. 5,
page 5).
7.5.2
Inserting condensation barrier in the evaporator
Proceed as illustrated (fig. 6, page 5):
➤ Position the condensation barrier (1) to the lower edge of the evaporator. The
entire lining side must protrude evenly as shown by approx. 20 mm along the
entire width of the evaporator.
➤ Attach the condensation barrier to the lamellae with the clips (2).

Attaching an evaporator in the loading area

WARNING!
Ensure that the interior installation for the insulation has sufficient load bearing
capacity for the evaporator unit and the fastening material is appropriate for the
interior installation.
